Welcome to another year of SkipAce Fantasy Disc Golf. I am really excited for the upcoming season to start and some of the new features and changes that we have implemented into the website.

New Format

In 2022 we are introducing the new "year long" draft format into the SkipAce website, in addition to all the other formats. This custom league is similar to a traditional fantasy sports league where you get together with your friends for a draft, and everyone takes turns picking players. Once you fill your set amount of "starters" and "bench" spots, you are set for the beginning of the season. Throughout the year you can add and drop players on your roster.

This is our first year with this new format, so understand that we do not have all the features of a full-fledged fantasy site. But rest assured, we are on our way to making them. If you have any non-obvious suggestions, you can email them or post them on the FaceBook discussion group.

This format is a bit different when it comes to scoring than the weekly redraft leagues. In these leagues, lowest score wins. Your player gets the number of points equal to their finishing spot. 1 point for first place, 2 points for second, etc. The team with the lowest points at the end of the weekend wins the weekly matchup. Each week you are competing against everyone in your league. So the lowest overall score would theoretically be 11-0 after week one (in a 12 person league).

I hope that you enjoy this format as much as the other ones we have created here on SkipAce. A lot of work has gone into this, and a LOT more features are already on the drawing board. We just couldn't get to them in a single offseason.

"Back by Popular Demand!"

ALTERNATES!!! When you create a "weekly redraft" custom league, you will have the option to designate if your league has an automatic alternate player option. So, in the off chance one of your picks decides not to show up at the last minute or DNF, you will automatically get the "next best" player (decided by ratings) to your original picked player. This should help eliminate getting -250 points when you don't check who withdrew from the event at the last minute.

Custom Leagues

For those that have been playing for a few years, you know that when you create your league you can choose to use custom rules. You can change the salary cap, number of players, alternates, and even the specific events in your league. You can even change those rules at a per-event level within your custom league. This year is no different, The only caveat is that this year SkipAce will be charging $10 (for the entire season) to the league manager to enable those custom league rules. If you were a custom league in the past, you will have to re-activate your league as a custom league, or continue as a standard league.

SkipAce will still offer FREE standard leagues. Standard leagues include all DGPT & Elite events, unlimited users, 4 MPO & 2 FPO slots, and a 6000 point salary cap just like last year.

Weekly Prizes

We will continue to offer weekly single Event Matchups where you can enter and win valuable prizes. Some weeks they will be free, others may cost a small entry fee. Last year we gave a way a 4 USDGC player's packs & a few DGA Mach Shift baskets. I have a very nice Dickerson ESP swirly Buzzz that is looking good for week 1 at LVC.
