We are just 3 weeks from the start of the DGPT season and the Discraft Supreme Flight Open. This is a good time to update everyone on a few small things that have changed with SkipAce this year, and one thing that hasn’t.
SkipAce Pro
The thing that hasn’t changed is the continued support of the disc golf community. This year we are happy to announce our continued sponsorship with OTB Discs for the SkipAce Pro subscription. Every DGPT event OTB will be giving away a $25 gift card to the OTBdiscs store. And for every PDGA Major, we will be awarding a $50 gift card. All you need to do is sign up for SkipAce Pro for $10 for the SEASON and play in the Event Matchups that are available to you.
What else do you get for your Pro Subscription? Access to additional historical stats. Access to the extended schedule view for your players. A fancy star by your name on the site so everyone knows you are a beautiful, smart, well adjusted person. As well as the wonderful warm feeling of knowing you are helping keep the site up and running.
Draft Help
Every year we have a few different draft guides that can help you get a leg up on your opponents. The first that I want to mention this season is the Mister Disc Power Ranking page. If you are interested in his take on what will improve your Fantasy Disc Golf season, you can find that here. 2025 Fantasy Disc Golf Power Rankings! - Disc Golf Around. Stay tuned for more draft guides.
Site Updates
You didn’t think that I was done with the updates, did you? I have been playing fantasy football for 25 years, mostly on CBSSports. Back when we would get together in person for drafts, we used a big paper board with different colored stickers for each position. I wanted to recreate that post draft feeling of looking at the entire draft as a whole after your draft is complete. Welcome to Draft History.
This is a great way to share your draft after the fact as well. Snap a quick screenshot and share with the world.
New Commissioner Responsibilities
As you may notice, many of the DGPT events have been added to the slate of 2025 events as well as Champions Cup. I am leaving it up to the commissioners from this point to add any additional events as they become available on the PDGA site (EO, Worlds, USDGC, etc). Commissioners can do this thru their settings page in the Edit Events area. If I add any events after this, they get added to EVERYONE’S slate, and I know some commissioners want more control over their slate of events without me overriding their selections. I will try to send out reminders via this newsletter when events open up on the PDGA site.
Thanks everyone.
Happy Drafting.
